Felix Ott

Founder, Broker

Co-founded Foremost Agencies in 1983 alongside his wife, Wendy, and brother-in-law, Robert King. With a career spanning decades, Felix brings an extensive background in the insurance industry, having worked in nearly every major area—from claims adjusting to managing a body shop, and beyond. His well-rounded expertise and entrepreneurial spirit have been central to Foremost Agencies’ growth and reputation for trusted service.

Brock Ott

Brokerage Manager, MKTG

Husband to Kellie and proud father of two boys, Jordan and Declan, began his career in the golf industry in the early 2000s. He earned a Business Administration Diploma along with a Certificate of Specialization in Professional Golf Management from Lethbridge Community College. After experiencing the long hours and limited opportunities in that field, Brock returned to school and completed his Bachelor of Management Degree, majoring in marketing, at the University of Lethbridge in 2011. That same year, he moved back to Foremost to join the family business at Foremost Agencies. Today, Brock and his family reside in Lethbridge, where he commutes daily to Foremost, committed to pursuing growth and continuing the legacy of the brokerage.

Ashli Malcolm

Brokerage Manager

Daughter of Felix and Wendy Ott, is married to her husband Andrew, and together they are proud parents of two beautiful girls, Lennon and Wyatt. Ashli began her post-secondary education in Calgary, earning a Diploma in Business Administration with an Insurance Co-Operative Education designation from Mount Royal College, along with her Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation from The Insurance Institute of Canada. She went on to work with Peace Hills Insurance as a telephone adjuster before moving to Lethbridge to complete her Bachelor of Management Degree at the University of Lethbridge. In 2011, Ashli returned home and joined the family business, bringing her education, industry experience, and dedication to the continued success of Foremost Agencies.

Wendy Ott

Clerical

Stay-at-home mom during the early years of Foremost Agencies, supporting her husband Felix and their growing family. In time, she pursued her own entrepreneurial path, owning and operating Madison Avenue, a beloved ladies’ clothing boutique in Foremost, AB, for many years. After closing the shop with plans to slow down, Wendy quickly realized she wasn’t ready to sit still. Her children, Brock and Ashli, welcomed the chance to bring her energy and experience into the day-to-day operations of Foremost Agencies, where she continues to play a valued role.

Brock Toth

Broker

Joined Foremost Agencies in 2021 and has been a valuable asset to the team ever since. In 2024, he earned his Level 2 Brokers License, allowing him to expand his expertise across all areas of the General Insurance industry. Outside of the office, Brock works alongside his family on their farm, dedicating several weeks each spring to seeding and each fall to harvest. His strong work ethic and commitment shine through in both his professional and personal life.

Kevin Gfrerer

Broker

Born and raised in the scenic Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, Kevin has always had a strong connection to Southern Alberta’s close-knit communities. In July 2023, Kevin joined Foremost Agencies as an insurance broker, where he is proud to help individuals, families, and businesses navigate their insurance needs with clarity and confidence. Now living in Lethbridge, Alberta, Kevin brings a personal and approachable touch to every conversation, ensuring that all his clients feel heard, supported, and well-informed when it comes to protecting what matters most. Outside of work, you’ll often find Kevin on the golf course, enjoying a round with friends or family. Whether you're reviewing your current coverage or exploring insurance for the first time, Kevin is here to help make the process smooth, straightforward, and tailored to your needs.

Rosanne Webster

Clerical

Wife to Dale, mother to Danny, Brad, and Cody, and proud grandmother to many beautiful grandchildren, has been part of Foremost Agencies since 2003. Rosanne plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations—gathering key information, assisting clients, processing payments, and keeping the brokers on their toes. Her position is a demanding one, and when she’s away, the whole office feels the difference. Outside of work, Rosanne enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with Dale whenever the opportunity arises.

Karen Ward

Accounting

Joined Foremost Agencies in 2017, originally hired to train as a licensed broker. However, her talents quickly led her into the accounting role, where she has thrived ever since. Karen’s expertise and attention to detail make her an invaluable part of the team, and Foremost Agencies is fortunate to have her in such a pivotal position. Outside of work, Karen enjoys heading to the mountains for day trips or weekend getaways.

Ripley

Official greeter

Is a 9-year-old Miniature Goldendoodle and the true heart of the office. As the official greeter, she takes her job very seriously—unless she’s napping. Known for her enthusiastic welcomes, occasional startled barks, and relentless hunt for belly rubs (or crumbs), Ripley keeps morale high and floors spotless. With more steps logged than anyone else in the office, she’s also the resident fitness champ. Most importantly, Ripley can usually be found faithfully trailing her human, Brock Ott, ensuring he never strays too far without her supervision.

Hobbes

Greeter in Training

Meet Hobbes, the newest (and fluffiest) recruit at Foremost Agencies! At just 11 weeks old, Hobbes is already making a name for himself as a Greeter in Training, learning the ropes from the seasoned expert, Ripley. Though he’s still mastering the art of sitting still for more than 3 seconds, his natural charisma and boundless energy have quickly made him a favorite among staff and visitors alike. With a wagging tail and a heart full of enthusiasm, Hobbes brings daily doses of joy and positivity to the office. Whether he’s making the rounds for belly rubs, snoozing in sunbeams, or giving enthusiastic (if slightly clumsy) welcomes, he’s quickly becoming the unofficial Chief Morale Booster of the team. Keep an eye on this rising star — Hobbes is just getting started!
